description: Easy Yahoo Maps with interactive pan, geolocation (from IP) and geocoding (from address).
Click the widget to enable audio if the widget uses it. Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.

Another gripe is that after it loads, it loads right where the Equator and the Prime Meridian meet -- in the middle of the Atlantic. Is it possible to set a starting point?

Stupid point of order, can you invert the zoom slider? It's upside-down in comparison to every other mapping software - even Yahoo Maps itself :)

@spunk_: The Yahoo! Flash Maps APIs are limited to 50,000 queries per IP per day.

@spunk_: the limit seems to be 1000 queries per day.

great idea to use yahoo. i didn´t even know that there is a limit in using google maps. (sometimes the old version worked fine - perhaps before the googole limit)

The problem is due to a request limitation for static Google maps. I changed the widget to use the Yahoo Maps API. Soon the search address service.

It works in the browser, but not on my chumby one. On the chumby, it shows the map menu on a gray screen, then it shows 127.0.0.1 in the top line, then the real ip of the chumby, and that's it. BTW: Even if the locating by IP would work, is it possible to disable it?
