This content requires Adobe Flash Player 8 or greater.

Get Adobe Flash player

Click the widget to enable audio if the widget uses it. Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.

Hi develephant. Great job! I took the source code you provided and improved on the design of the widget and and also the php code. I included some of the features arkusa mentioned above (e.g. previous/next/pause), more caching, and scaling for larger devices including the Infocast (e.g. 800x600). I was considering posting this to the site as PHPShow Plus with the updated source code. Of course I will credit your prior work as part of the listing, but I wanted to confirm you were OK with this approach. Please let me know and thanks.

Hi arkusa, thank you for your comment and suggestions. I am no longer making modifications to PHPShow (it was actually just a favor for another chum that got out of hand and was originally a private widget). I am however providing all of the source which is available at the link above in the description. Cheers.

This is great! I love PHPShow! This is a good tool to make my Chumby a tiny tabletop picture frame. I have about 20k+ family pictures stored in my home Linux server that does many other things as well. And I never use online picture services except for sharing party pictures with friends, which happens rarely. I like to control all personal things internally by myself. There are, of course, several items that I wish the author will soon improve such as... - The randomization/interval control returns by itself to its default (random rather than sequential and 5 seconds) after some time. - Touching the screen, no matter where, in order to stop the widget from expiring always leads to the randomization/interval control. - There are no PAUSE, PREVIOUS, NEXT picture controls. - When an expired widget returns to its turn and resume, it always starts over with the very first picture if it is in the sequential mode; it should resume with the interrupted picture. - Newly added pictures seem to be recognized only after a widget starts over after expiring. - The resized image cache directory seems to grow forever. Anyway, thank you for the great work!
