description: A very simple widget that retrieves and image from the URL you specify and displays it. Use any server method you want to provide dynamic images. Use multiple instances of this widget for different images, each with their own display duration.
Click the widget to enable audio if the widget uses it. Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.

This is a nice app. I am using it to view the NOAA Weather Story in my area. I load http://www.weather.gov/images/mpx/wxstory/Tab2FileL.png This will bring up the Weather Story for Minneapolis area. If you live in another area that has a NOAA Weather Story location, right click on the image there and click on "view image". Then copy the Url for that image to URLImage and you will have what you need. Also works for some weather radar sites.

URLImage displays a very bright white 1-pixel border around the image. It is subtle in bright light, but distractingly bright at night. Is there a way to turn that border off?

Yup, my Infocast 8" was running this fine until about 10 days ago or so, and now won't find this app, even though it's on the website dashboard, and shows as one of the five apps installed in the channel, on the main Apps page. Once you go into the channel, however, it won't show. If it's the only app in a channel, the channel will show 1 app in it, but when you open or play the channel, it says "no apps installed in channel" message. Weird.

I have the same problem as the previous poster. When I attempt to add this app to a channel, it does not appear. Also does not appear in the App Catalog.

When I add this via the web to my channel it doesn't appear, and it also doesn't appear in the app catalog on my device... Any suggestions? (On an 8" Insignia)

Cool widget... you don't need to reprogram it. All the user has to do is have multiple copies of the widget with the same URL on one channel and cycle through them one at a time every 15 seconds...

Thank you for this excellent widget! could you derossi be so kind, that you could reprogram your widget so, that the user could refresh the image simply by touching chumbys screen? I have constantly updating picture of my aquarium on my website, and it would be nice if i could also update the picture in my chumby whenever i want. It actually would be even better, if you could make an automatic refresh of the url image!
