description: Enter up to 5 tracking numbers (with friendly aliases) to get up-to-date information for any package or parcel. Move quickly through all of your packages using simple previous and next buttons. Use the accelerometer (if supported by the device), as well as touch and drag, to scroll through tracking details and location history. This app currently supports the following carriers: DHL, DHL Germany, FedEx, FedEx SmartPost, UPS, and USPS. Click the widget to enable audio if the widget uses it. Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.

@Freiheit Thanks for the feedback, I have a complete revamp of the UI, with a new version for the Chumby and one that takes more advantage of the Sony Dash's screen size. I'm hoping to release it some time this spring/summer, but I've been overwhelmed with my day job lately.

Its a good idea, but it failed to work when a simple RSS feed from http://boxoh.com/ did. The setting to connect to a server is not described well. What does it do and what is the URL supposed to be? Why is this a setting and not just built in with a usable default. Does having that set wrong indicate thats the bad setting as opposed to no tracking data? Its a damn good idea, and it's far easier to just poke my tracking numbers in @chumby, but it needs some spit and polish. Find a better way to get the package data (perhaps a shippers API or a partner). I am not using the app currently, but I will check back and try out the next iteration.

I've made a big change to the parsing library I created. Should be working again now. ;)

UPS has made a big change to how they handle tracking requests, so the UPS function is broken indefinitely.

Thanks for hosting that tvdyson. Glad it's still working! Although I have a ton of ideas on how to improve it, it's been pretty low on my priority queue. I'll make time one of these weekends to fiddle around with it and hopefully release something more polished. I'm definitely not opposed to sharing the project files if anyone is feeling motivated to develop it further.

MZee that URL is no longer valid. Use this one. http://www.tandemhearts.com/trk/track2.php

The links to the source php are dead. Does anyone have that file?

Yes, the server needs to be changed in the configuration screen. I haven't updated the default URL yet because: 1) I'm quite busy with other projects right now and this is just a fun widget I built 2) I haven't found a permanent host for the RSS script yet

So I need to change the server in the configuration screen to the one you've listed in the description? Is there any reason why you don't change the default server to the new one that works?

The RSS tracking host has stopped allowing outgoing connections for free accounts sadly. :( For now, install the tracking php script yourself or use the alternate server at http://cyphergate.com/track/track.php

The widget is very nice. The underlying server however seems to be very unreliable and I don't feel like setting up my own (if that helps at all)

The free RSS server seems not to be working at the moment.....

Good idea nimocone! I was actually thinking about that the other night - if anyone has insight on how to embed a Google map into Flash I would be happy to implement this. I'm curious to know how the Yahoo Maps widget works and if it would support plotting..

Incorporating this site would be a cool visual addition: http://isnoop.net/blog/?p=19 It's visual tracking.
