Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.

i wish it had more basic colors (black/white/blue/green/etc.), instead of CRAZY PINK, Two shades of blue and lime green. It would also be nice to be able to glide over a group of cells, instead of having to click on every single pixel.

Would like to see the pixel size reduced for this and the pallate widened... This rocks

dominique: I think that's a great idea, but also, perhaps have a color chooser page where you can choose the colors you want to use, and have alot of them. Alot of good colors are missing on the widget to paint something truly good.

one more idea: you could take a "movie" of the canvas by taking e.g. a snapshot every time no input comes for a few seconds. take the latest of these snapshots and display them in small! you have 8x7 pixels, you could display them with double pixles, i.e. 16x14, then a total of 340 pictures (20 columns 17 rows) would fit on the 3240x240 screen of the chumby... maybe this could be done server-side. so have a button to switch between drawing and showing the history.

alecarmbruster: I thought about adding more squares but I decided to keep in the Chumby spirit of using fingers instead of a stylus. Maybe the current squares can be turned into mega squares, then when you click on them they expand into four squares so you can still use your fingers. I wonder if the interface would still be intuitive and fun at that point. What do you think? ApoXX: Interesting idea. I did not know widgets could know about your chums.

Sweet, great idea. I really like the community focus but it would also be cool to see the ability to share canvases with your chums.

This is great the way it is, but if there was any way to make it better, I would split each box into four different boxes, and add more colors. Then there would be able to be a lot more diversity. Anybody agree?

sirchadwick: every time you make a change it is sent to a central server that is checked for new changes every five seconds.

Cool idea! How often is it updated? How do you do the data exchange?
