description: [[http://www.danielcasner.org/chumpd/|A minimal remote control]] for MPD ([[http://mpd.wikia.com/|Music Player Daemon]]). Because the flash player on Chumby can't open arbitrary sockets, a thin python shim is needed to translate between the Widget and MPD. The widget connects to the translator and the translator connects to MPD. The translator CAN be run on the Chumby itself by putting [[http://www.files.danielcasner.org/chumpd/usb-img.zip|this USB stick image]] (includes Python for Chumby) on a flash drive, plugging it into the Chumby and booting it up. Alternately you can get [[http://www.files.danielcasner.org/chumpd/translator.zip|just the translator]] and set it up to run on another linux machine such as the one you're running MPD on. Some linux / chumby hacking familiarity is probably required to make this work. preview of 'ChuMPD' app

This content requires Adobe Flash Player 8 or greater.

Get Adobe Flash player

Click the widget to enable audio if the widget uses it. Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.

spitfireaus, sorry about that, there was a file missing from the "just the translator" archive, it has been fixed now. The streams bug has also been fixed. You just need to download and install the new version of the USB stick image or translator.

When running the translator on my server I see the following error on connection: Error parsing instruction from client: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'crossdomain.xml' Any ideas?
