description: Another implementation of the Generic RSS Reader, originally developed by the Chumby team. This flavour adds support for both Greek characters and Greek HTML Entities with tones. Since many Greek websites do not feature a cross-domain policy XML file that allows the Chumby's widgets to connect and fetch RSS feeds, it is advised that you copy the RSS URL of your favourite website, go into http://feedburner.google.com/ and create a Feedburner URL which you can then paste into the configuration of this widget. The Duration parameter refers to the number of seconds each news item should appear for (10 by default). To keep things simple, the widget is only presenting those numbers of characters from the news item's body that fit in one screen since most people just want to know the headlines and read the full news online. Therefore the widget does not scroll-display the full news, which would make it a more complex user experience. Enjoy and feel free to provide feedback!

This content requires Adobe Flash Player 8 or greater.

Get Adobe Flash player

Click the widget to enable audio if the widget uses it. Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.
