Omniclock BETA

description: A streamlined widget that displays time, date and current weather using a clean and modern font. Important information is readable from far away. International weather information is provided by the World Weather Online service. If the widget displays 00 degrees or inaccurate temperature, try entering more precise information about your location (like "Paris, France" instead of just "Paris"). Color is fully customizable and automatically displays time in 12 or 24 hour format, according to how your Chumby is configured. Feedback is greatly appreciated, as are bug reports. Upcoming features: - Day temperature switch, which will let you choose between current and day temperature.
Click the widget to enable audio if the widget uses it. Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.

Ever since Chumby started showing ads on my device that only ran *TWO* apps total (time and weather), I had to find a solution, and this is it. Like previous comments, there is a bug that makes the month/day/date flash every 10 seconds or so when you use certain colors. And I would like to see a flashing colon between the hour and minute. A otherwise fantastic clock app.

The temperature no longer works for me here in Oklahoma. I get 00f instead of the actual temperature. Love it beyond that, simple, clean, easy to read. Just need the weather working again for it to be perfect.

I really like this app until yesterday. It is not keeping the correct time now. Hope you can fix. Thanks

Great app, but there seems to be a weird bug. So for example, the date is WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31. The WEDNESDAY and 31 are bold, while August is not. Every 14 seconds or so it will either make August bold and Wednesday not bold or make August and 31 bold while Wednesday not bold. I think it might have something to do with the color picked because I remember picking 1 color where it wouldn't do that, but the last few I picked it would do this.

Super app! It's now running constantly on my Chumby. It'd be even more super if I could touch the screen to get a 10-second, five-day weather forecast. Great job!

I really like this clock, and use it almost constantly. It is a terrific addition to the lineup. The only major problem I have run into is if I have it as the only app in a channel, the chumby locks up after about 37 minutes. If I include any other apps in the channel, everything works great. Other, minor updates I would like to see are an option for a flashing colon between the hour and minute digits, and, a positive indication of AM and PM, when the time is a four digit time (i.e., for hours 10, 11, and 12). But even without those tweaks, this is wonderful. Thanks for making it and sharing it with the rest of us.

Thanks for all the great feedback. Temperatures in the hundreds now display correctly and color is customizable through the configuration panel (do not forget to reload the channel on your Chumby to update the widget!). Concerning other weather information sources, the main problem is most deny access to Flash from a networked environment. For instance, it's possible to display Google Weather information, but only when the widget is run locally (ie. without going through a network). A soon as it is published to Chumby's servers, access is denied. If someone knows another international weather service that has XML feeds and a loose crossdomain policy, I'll be glad to add it to the widget.

Yes, I also would love to have the source. I want to attempt to change the weather source, because World Weather Online is often wrong for my location.

This is a fantastic and clean cock! It would be great if you could release the editable .fla so we can make our own font and color customizations.

Thanks. I use this one all the time. Only request would be to possible add today's high / low temps (perhaps in a smaller font to the right of the current temperature, eg high temperature in smaller font on top with low temperature on bottom).

I really like your app. Very concise and clean. One issue which is more visual than a true 'bug' is with the temp. If it is over 100, only the last two digit show.

Thank you for the feedback Jdgriffin811! The widget now supports 12-hour time.

I like the clock, but it is stuck in military time even though my chumby clock is set to 12 hour time. Please update to give a 12 hour time option and I will give it 5 stars.
