i agree on the size - also the day/night line causes the contrast to be a problem. A day/night updating cartisian map like this would be spiffy. This earthquake map could probably be better were the map evenly lit, and had the ability to choose a region to monitor. (or cyled through regions) Each region being a zoomed version of what we see on the current map.
