Click the widget to enable audio if the widget uses it. Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.

Thanks for the update - sadly I don't have a flash development environment so can't help. I'm using the yahoo weather widget instead for now.

Sorry for the delay, I am afraid that I do not have access to a Flash development environment at the moment to update this widget, I would be prepared to give the code to someone who does - but there is actually not much to it. BBC relaunched their weather feeds a while back, which means that new users will not be able to get this to work, existing users should be ok as BBC redirected all old id's to new URLs.

Does anyone know how to contact the author (sadler) to see if it's possible to get this widget fixed? I'm very keen to have a weather widget but this one doesn't work right at the mo, and the weather channel widget doesn't seem to work for the UK. Thank you

Thanks Evsdd - that really helped. The instructions need updating - and as you said, this widget doesn't work properly any more

Thanks Evsdd. I think the developer lives somewhere without fog.

The alternative BBC URL http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/mobile/index.shtml worked for me. The widget doesn't seem to support all of the weather icons now in use though ('Light snow showers' and 'foggy' appear as blanks - 'sunny' and 'cloudy' work).

Looks like the BBC website has changed and the widget no longer works - is their a fix on the way?

The URL doesn't give an ID number at all. I am in the UK.

Hmm seems to have stopped working at the weekend :( Maybe the BBC have changed something?

Ignore my reply - I can see that you provided the URL which is for Paris. I will see if I can get a change made to support the world= replies. This will allow the widget to support non-UK cities.

what city did you try? - i have really only tested it to work with UK cities/postcodes - I can try and do an extension to allow the 'world wide' forecasts to work.

Hi, I have just try to use this widget, but when I got to this link http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml and I search my city... the url reply is : http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=0040 and not id= ?

hooray! thanks for this - the other weather widget's UK forecasts were terribly inaccurate.
