This content requires Adobe Flash Player 8 or greater.

Get Adobe Flash player

Click the widget to enable audio if the widget uses it. Note that modern browser security may prevent the widget from loading content from other web sites, however the widget should be able to load properly on the chumby devices. These previews are possible through the use of Ruffle ‐ note that Ruffle is still a work in progress, and not all Flash features are implemented, so some widgets may not perform optimally.

I'm getting the Flickr API error message as well. This has been ongoing for a couple of days now, and it's quite irritating, especially since it is really the only app that I run on my Sony Dash.

I'm getting the API error message, too .. What's up? Why is it not working?

API not working. Is it temporary?

FYI...You are limited to only 200 photos using a free Flickr account. You need to upgrade to a Flickr Pro account (currently $24.95/year) if you want to display more than 200 photos.

This widget only shows 5 photos before looping back to the start. Any way to fix this?

The Flicker API not working was due to a small server outage we had here at chumby. It should be back up and running correctly now though. Please let us know if this is not the case. -chumby support

Will this app update and show new pictures that were just uploaded without having to exit and refresh?

Widget runs and hangs - essentially unusable for me. Was wonderful... a "killer app" for the Chumby. For details see Forum topic http://forum.chumby.com/viewtopic.php?id=6048

A recent update completely screwed up my pictures. Anything that does not fit in the screen gets squashed or stretched. Do not use. This applet is messed up now.

Spent forever trying to set this up: could only get the validation to work with IE (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera didn't work.) Then, after it reported that I had validated my account, I only got the default pictures--none of mine. Reading these comments, I don't think this app is supported any more by the authors. My recommendation: don't bother with it.

You used to be able to put in an RSS from a flickr group now this only shows a "network error" message any tips on how to fix that?

Any tips for allowing only certain pics? I tried customizing by a user name, but I'm still getting pics from random photographers.

speed and transition settings would be very nice

The first comment HERE about the speed settings goes back to August 2007. So I guess they just don't care about improving the application. Typical.

    photo switching is to fast

  • Chumby-M

    – October 22 2008

Needs a speed setting. Need to be able to set the speed. Attention designer: try watching it for a while- who wants images moving so fast? it's distracting.

It switches photos to fast. This should be part of the configuration.

I really like that. I don't have a FlickR account, but a lot of my friends do. It's really nice to see some familiar faces on your Chumby... Especially when youre friends are far away.

it doesnt work for me. I tried both to view my photos or that of a friend, each time i get: "Oops! The API key or signature is invalid. An external application has requested your login credentials and permission to perform certain actions on your behalf, but has failed to include all the required data. You don't really need to know what this means, except that you can't use the application until this problem is fixed. (It's a third-party problem, not a Flickr problem.) [...]" Any ideas how to make this work?

how do you make the photo's switch out slower? In many cases I only got to see loading image on a black screen and it moves on before it ever get displayed.

Is it just me or does the widget only show the newest photo set. Anyway being able to pick sets and tags manually would be nice.

Just says "user not found" for me - does it fail to handle flickr Pro accounts perhaps?

  • jontom

    – October 17 2007

yes, being able to pick by album would be great. Or having the option of two of the filters, my photos by tag for example.

  • BubbleDragon

    – August 11 2007

I wish I could select a certain set from my user stream, instead of ALL of the photos in stream. I wish I could pare it down by like... sets or tags or something.
