Dawn
(community developer)Enjoy an artificial sunrise including bird sounds which wake you up gently: Brightness and volume will slowly increase over 10 minutes. Use it to wake up when you are in a light REM-sleep phase and be fresh in the morning. Instructions: Make it the only widget in a new channel and create an alarm timer which switches to this channel when you want to wake up (do as described [[http://www.chumby.com/pages/cp_alarm_custom|here]] and select audio source "None" in step 4). Make sure you switch from another channel to this one, otherwise you won't get a fresh sunrise. Optionally, create a conventional backup alarm timer 10 minutes later. A second possibility is to make "dawn" the first widget in a channel and customize its play time to 600 seconds. The following widgets could then be louder to wake you up for sure.

I am richer

With some practice, you might even get rich enough to send sirchadwick lots of money. Oh, no, wait... This is the Chumby, not the iPhone - and this is a parody of Armin Heinrich's highly original "I am rich" (you can google it) on the iPhone. But this is better because (a) it's cooler and (b) it's FREE. You can drag stuff around and move the chumby to use gravity - try it, you'll figure it out. Update: Now with glue and kill functionality. Try placing gems to be obstacles or collect only the tennis balls. Or create a tennis ball man. Kanji a day (private)
(community developer)(private, no more kanji-a-day-site) This widget shows the current kanji of the day for your learning pleasure from [[http://www.hokubei.com/en/series/Kanji-Day|hokubei]]. The kanji-a-day page is a bit too big for the Chumby, so you will always only see a zoomed in part. Untouched, mainly the kanji will be shown. This way, you can try to guess the meaning and pronounciation, then scroll with your finger down to see the correct answer. Also, you can scroll right to see some example sentences. Using the blue arrows you can also study other kanjis. After some time a new kanji will be shown.
