A streamlined widget that displays time, date and current weather using a clean and modern font. Important information is readable from far away. International weather information is provided by the World Weather Online service. If the widget displays 00 degrees or inaccurate temperature, try entering more precise information about your location (like "Paris, France" instead of just "Paris"). Color is fully customizable and automatically displays time in 12 or 24 hour format, according to how your Chumby is configured. Feedback is greatly appreciated, as are bug reports. Upcoming features: - Day temperature switch, which will let you choose between current and day temperature.

    I designed this clock face to replace one of those bland white faces you get on cheap plastic kitchen clocks. The clock face was just a little wider than a sheet of A4 paper, so I had to print it in two halves.     Simple Clock: I just got my first Chumby! I will try to publish more hands, face, and font combinations, available via an internal menu. I may make it configurable via external XML. This looks like a fun community, and I'm interested in making some fun Flash applications. More about the clock: So, I've been interested in writing simple code for a long time, and what is simpler than a clock? I've been reducing the code down for years, and revisit the silly thing from time to time. The basic clock code is just variations on the Date object using a modulus and arithmetic with rotation being a function of the output. Most of the weight is from embedding the fonts dynamically instead of creating outlines.

    Basic looking analogue clock that speaks the time to you when you touch the screen. In order to hear anything you need flite_time and a cgi script. Details on how they can be downloaded and installed are on the [[http://forum.chumby.com/viewtopic.php?pid=27304|forum]]. This is really just a proof of concept, but once flite and the script are installed any widget can easily speak anything - see the forum for full details. Source code is also available at the forum link. Note that you won't hear anything on a virtual chumby, it needs to run on a real chumby with the files above installed.

    Inspired by On Kawara's "Today Series". An ongoing work of more than 2000 paintings, each consisting of a monochrome background onto which is inscribed the date of the day on which the individual painting is executed, in the language and according to the calendrical conventions of the country in which Kawara is present when he begins it. Operation: touch screen to toggle display between date (default), time and user-configured string. Note: touching bottom edge of screen changes background colour. Configuration: choose default string to display.
